Emyria Formalises NSW Workforce Ahead of First
Sydney Clinic Opening
Emyria Limited (ASX: EMD) (“Emyria”, or the “Company”), a leader in delivering evidence-
based mental-health treatments, is pleased to announce that it has completed training for its
first cohort of Sydney therapists ahead of the planned Q3 CY2026 opening of the Company’s
first NSW-based Empax clinic, located at Matilda Nepean1
.
Following the NSW clinical workforce recruitment campaign announced in April2
, a total of 25
contracted therapists and 6 psychiatrists were trained over the weekend by Empax. These
clinicians join a growing clinical workforce of over 100+ existing contracted and trained
psychiatrists and therapists across Australia.
The training is a catalysing step as the Company progresses towards the establishment of a
fourth state-based clinical operation, joining existing centres across Western Australia,
Queensland and Victoria. The training also builds on additional core operational elements in
progress for the opening of the Sydney clinic, with medication secured, and fit-out
requirements within Matilda Nepean being finalised.
Training and planned clinic opening meets growing demand for new therapies
The clinical training and continued progress towards the opening of a Sydney clinic comes at
a time of growing demand for evidence-based mental health therapies in NSW. The state
represents Australia’s largest addressable patient population, with over 1.8 million people in
NSW having a long-term mental or behavioural condition3
, and psychological injuries having
increased 64% since 2019-204
.
Emyria Executive Director Greg Hutchinson commented:
“The completion of clinician training in NSW is a positive step in Emyria’s national expansion
efforts. We are well-positioned to be able to deliver new therapies for the many people
suffering complex mental health conditions who need access to treatment. With the Sydney
clinic opening on track for Q3 CY2026, we are also pleased to confirm that we are delivering
in line with our stated corporate milestones.”
• First cohort of NSW Contracted Clinicians trained – 25 therapists and 6 psychiatrists
completed the Empax training program in Sydney over the weekend.
• Growing clinical workforce across Australia – NSW trained clinicians join an established
network of over 100+ trained Clinicians across Western Australia, Victoria, and
Queensland.
• Sydney clinic opening on track– Recruitment and training is a foundational step for a
new Empax clinic with the first Sydney-based Empax clinic located at Matilda Nepean set
to open in Q3 CY2026.
• Australia’s largest addressable population – NSW represents Australia’s largest target

Risks associated with the use of MDMA, MDMA-inspired compounds and psilocybin
All medicines carry risks and specialist prescribers, such as registered psychiatrists, are best placed to assess
the suitability of a new medication against a patient’s individual circumstances and medical history before
proceeding. Adverse effects of MDMA include high blood pressure, increased pulse rate, faintness, and panic
attacks, and in some rare cases it can cause loss of consciousness or trigger seizures. Other side effects include
involuntary jaw clenching, decreased appetite, restless legs, nausea, headache, sweating and muscle/joint
stiffness. Adverse effects of psilocybin can include temporary increase in blood pressure and a raised heart rate.
There may be some risk of psychosis in predisposed individuals. The effects of MDMA and psilocybin are
unlikely at low doses in the treatment regimens used in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy while
appropriately managed in a controlled environment with direct medical supervision. The risk profile of the
MDMA inspired compounds is currently unknown.
The availability of these products is subject to the safety and efficacy of the products being tested through
clinical trials. Emyria makes no representations or warranties as to the safety or efficacy of the products or the
products’ ability (or the ability of its key compounds) to be used in the treatment of indications such as PTSD.
There are currently no approved products containing MDMA, psilocybin or MDMA inspired compounds that
the TGA has evaluated for quality, safety and efficacy.
